He's here!!!

Yesterday at 12:04pm, Caleb Andrew came into our lives and we feel so blessed!  I will be taking a break (about 2 months) from blogging and photographing weddings and seniors.  Just wanted to let ya know;)  Until then, here's my new love....

Slowing Down

OK, so I'm starting to really slow down with this pregnancy.  Literally, as in, someone in a wheel chair could easily pass me by.  It dawned on me that in less than one month I'm going to have three kids!!!!  My husband and I will be out numbered.

I'm trying to keep up with taking a few pictures here and there for a simple scrapbook for Caleb.    I thought it might be fun for one page to be on his big brother and big sister right before he was born.  So, I took the kids out early this morning behind our house. I was hoping of getting a few good shots, however, out of the 76 images I took, only 3 were well, to be honest, so-so.  Just another reason why I'm not a child photographer:)  So, don't ask me to take your kids pictures.  I will smile and turn you down:)  Evie

Caleb's Newborn Tie

Good morning:)  I thought I'd post a picture of the newborn tie I made Caleb for his newborn pictures.  I was looking up ties for newborn boys on etsy when it dawned on me, "I don't have to pay $20 for that.  I can totally make it myself!"  Well, I'm not for sure if it's as cute as the ones on etsy, but this one was super cheap.  I didn't even have to buy fabric for it.  I ended up going through Hayden's (my son) baby things that I have kept.  One of them being Hayden's old nursery curtain.  I wish I could tell you HOW I made the tie, but honestly, I'm one of those people who don't go by the directions, I just kinda do it myself.  I also had to add a "C" at the bottom because I'm an overachiever of course:)  Happy Wednesday!!! Evie

P.S. I also made a bow tie, so you might be seeing it in a shot next month.

Caleb at 4lbs

I promise this will be the last pregnancy/Caleb post for a while:)  I had to get a detailed ultrasound today for Caleb's kidney's, which by the way are totally normal.  Thank you Jesus!  While I was there they took a few 3D pictures.  My husband and I can't decide if they are cute or creepy, but here's two shots of my little guy...

I'm not for sure how he can have such chubby cheeks already with only being 4lbs, but he does.  Hope everyone out there in internetland is doing well:)  Evie Pin It

Eight months!

Today I'm eight months pregnant, but hey who's counting?  Me, I am!!!  :)  My bellybutton is officially M.I.A. and I can't reach my toes.  So, needless to say, I'm ready for Caleb to make his grand exit.

I'm happy to announce that I only have one spot open left in June before I go on my maternity leave.  So, if you're in the Mon Valley area and are in need of a senior session, please contact me at evie@eviephotography.net or check out my site here and use the "contact page."  Thanks so much!!!  Evie

Hello Third Trimester!

I can't believe I'm entering into my third trimester already with this pregnancy.  Not that I'm complaining;)  It's just going by so fast!!!  I decided to set up my tripod and have my daughter, Jael snap away for me.  She did so good I even took my camera off the tripod and gave her full control.  So, here I am with Caleb at 27 weeks.  (I can't tell you how much I love this maternity dress!  By far, the best fitting maternity dress out of all three of my pregnancies.)

Once she had the camera on her own, she started to show me where and how to pose.  How cute is she?!?!  I could seriously just munch on her face all day.  I love this kid.

I set up the camera settings while she posed and gave her the camera back.  Then she got this shot that I kinda love....well, minus the tripod in the back;)
