How to build a log cabin, according to Hayden (age 6)

Building a log ckaben
Step 1. cut the logs
Step 2.gallr the logs
Step 3. make the wolls
Step 4. make the roof
Step 5. ckol it home sweet home

Sooooo cute thought I'd share. Although now you know who Hayden gets his mad spelling skills from;)

Starting to get ready for Thanksgiving today. I'm wrapping some gifts to give my sisters who I will not be seeing at Christmas time:( I'll take what time I can get though!

I do have a mini shoot on Thanksgiving day I'm hoping timing wise will work out. Keep your fingers crossed for me;)

Also, you know what has been a little annoying lately? All this "Twilight/New Moon"
movie buzz. I haven't seen any of them, so maybe I shouldn't speak, but really.....what in the world are all these grown women drooling over?! In my opinion, if you really love this Edward guy, you'd buy him a tanning package b/c he looks like he could use some SERIOUS vitamin D! I know he's a vampire, so I get it....but not really..lol.

OK, I guess that's it, I'll stop rambeling on. Have a great day!

Noah and Rachael

Yesterday I had my first Christmas shoot with Noah and Rachael. I was feeling pretty drained right before the shoot so I ran into Starbucks and grabbed a pumpkin spice frappuccino with whipped cream and rocked out to some Kim Walker. I was feeling pretty good by the time I got there. Actually, I must have been doing really good b/c I got there like 20 min. early. I didn't want to waste time so I started to get soem detail shots, which I think are adorable. Might have to start doing that with all my shoots;) As soon as they were ready, we headed to downtown Springfield. I normally take a ton of pics, but seriously, I took a TON on this shoot. Here's some of my fav's.....

I told you I was going to use my window markers again;)

Rachael knows how to use the mistletoe!

Funny story....I was trying to get a shot of them across the street at this theater, but there were so many cars going by. And, this crazy guy on this crazy bike kept riding by and apologizing to me for being in the shot. After I gave up, Noah and Rachael said he kept telling them as he rode by, "Help, how do I get off this?!" LOL

Rachael is so cute. I told her to take her scarf off, wrap it around Noah and bring him in for a kiss. She moved at such a stellar pace, I didn't even get the shot, and poor Noah almost had his nose break:) So, we tried again a little slower and she hit the mark:)

Noah and Rachael, I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and a very merry Christmas!!! You two are truly adorable.

HOLLA!

Yesterday was a very interesting day for me. Not only am I still sick, but my son's nurse called and said that Hayden had pink eye again....ugh. BUT, to top it off, my sister, Amy was informing me that I had stats on my pictures through my Photobucket account. I had no idea! It shows you how many times a pic has been viewed on my blog and on other sites/blogs...hmmmmm....did I mention it also says the name of the sites? That's right, it's very intersting. There's many more of you reading and looking than I ever thought. So, to all my fellow (hoping friendly) stalkers out there, HOLLA!!!!! I really wasn't sure if I should take it as a complement or not. It was a little frustrating at first I have to admit. Mostly on my kids pics...why are you copying my kids?:/ But, they are pretty cute kids, so I will just laugh it off for now. I'm posting a somewhat sad pic of me (with my new dark hair) b/c I know there's more of you out there that haven't said hi yet. I'm a nice girl, I promise. So, my challange to you today is to HOLLA BACK at me;) Go ahead, make a comment....I double dog dare you!;) Have a great Wednesday!

Weekend Funnies

Happy Monday  everyone:)  Or maybe I should say, Happy Monday Mom, Mollie and Leah;) haha...ok, you know it's bad when you make yourself laugh and it's not even that fuuny.  Must be the cough syrup;)  This past weekend I bought these super rad markers at Target.  I knew they would come in handy for some funny pics.  Which by the way, I have my first Christmas shoot this weeknd and by golly, the markers are coming with me;)  Hayden and Jael had so much fun writing on the windows.  I couldn't help but add a mustache here and there.  My poor kids, they have a crazy Mom.  Speaking of crazy, on Sunday morning, Hayden and I were eating breakfast together and he started to sing, "Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1982."  I said, "Hayden, I was 1 yr old in 1982."  he responded with, "Mom, you were a pinoneer?!?!"

Michael and Lacy

First off I'd like to say hi:)  I feel like I haven't been on here in a while.  I've been/am sick.  Brian finally talked me into going to the doctors so I'll know what I have Tuesday...yay!  Hoping to get some meds and feel like a human again.  With that being said, a few weeks ago I was writing my friend, Laura on Facebook.  I was shamefully (what are friends for;)) asking her if she ever needed a third shooter to let me know.  Lo and behold, she responded with, "I have a wedding in your area this weekend, would you like to come?"  I was so excited I didn't know what to do with all my extra energy from the excitment.  Which by the way I could SO use right now.  My very first wedding!  I had no clue what to expect.  I couldn't have asked for a better bride and groom, Michael and Lacy were so beautiful together.  They had their wedding at their home church and the reception at Big Cedar Lodge.  http://www.bigcedar.com/  It was BEAUTIFUL!!!!  Laura http://www.laurakathrynphotography.com/ and Ann were so easy to work with and learn from. I now know a few things.... how much hard work goes into wedding photography, not to wear heels while shooting all day, third shooters get crazy angles, a good GPS is a must, I don't have the lenses I need, and I really need to study my camera WAY more...lol.  Seriously. *PLEASE check out Laura's site, she does AMAZING work!!!  Laura, thank you again so much for letting me come along:)  Here's a few of my fav's.....
