Katie { Washington, PA Bridal session }

  A few weeks ago, I met up with bride-to-be, Katie and my friend, Tiffany with Simply Exceptional Events, LLC to shoot a fun fourth of July inspired bridal session.  Katie first had in mind a destination wedding and bought this dress for her big day.  However, her plans have changed a bit.  She's now getting married here in Pittsburgh with a more traditional wedding day in mind.  And by the way, I was lucky enough to see her new dress and it is AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS!!!  Since this dress (the one in the session) wasn't going to be her wedding day dress it still seemed like it needed to be photographed.  Katie was kind enough to get all dolled up and let me photograph her.  There were lots of fun D.I.Y. projects that I spent time on before the session.  Maybe later this month I can break down a few of them and share.  Until then, I'll just share what are the D.I.Y. projects in the pics.  Here's a few of my favorite shots from the session.

      The hand sewn initials ( Katie's future hubby-Scott Bowers:) in the locket and details on shoes are D.I.Y. projects that anyone could tackle.

        The garter belt is also a D.I.Y. project I made with a few items from around my home.  One including a broken ring that I couldn't make myself throw away.

   The birdcage veil was soooo easy to make!!!  Vintage blue brooch that was added for detail was a yardsale find.

         Just in case we wanted a traditional veil as well, I bought this material for $8 and bam...Katie models it like a pro! :)

                    Again, easy vintage clip on earrings with birdcage tulle makes every day red pumps look amazing!

                          This necklace is actually three vintage necklaces (and one brooch) as one.
                                      I'm not gonna lie, this D.I.Y. project took a long time.

                                      As always, hope you're having a wonderful day:)  Evie Pin It

Alyssa { Little Rock Bridal Session }

  I traveled to Little Rock a few weeks ago to shoot Alyssa's bridal session.  As soon as she picked me up from the airport we headed straight to the Murphy estate and started shooting.  You couldn't have asked for a prettier location.  The home and grounds were beautiful.  I'm really looking forward to shooting the wedding coming up this October.  Here's a few of my favorites from the day...

                               As always, thanks for stopping by:)  Hope you have a great week! Evie Pin It

Little Rock

  This past weekend has been crazy busy!  I flew to Little Rock to shoot an engagement session and a bridal session  and boy was it hot there in Arkansas.  I can't wait to start editing, but first I have to post at least one picture from the backyard we shot the bridal session at.  I fell in love with this pool.  Like.  Entirely. Fell. In. Love.  (long sigh)  Hope you have more energy than I do today, because I'm exhausted.  Evie:)

Lisha's Bridal Session

  Here's some pictures from Lisha's bridal session from the very first week in April.  I promised her I wouldn't post them till her wedding day, which is this Saturday, but she informed me her fiance already saw ALL the edited images.  So, now I get to show her off a few days early;)  Can't wait to shoot the wedding!  I pray it doesn't rain because it's an outside wedding.  BUT, that's why bridal sessions are SO GREAT!  If you do have an outside wedding, you still have great images of you in your wedding dress despite any bad weather.  Knock on wood.  Have a great day everyone!  Oh, if you're having any problems posting a comment, I apologize.  I've been having trouble myself responding to comments.  Please know I'm reading them and wishing I could respond;)  Evie

Madelyn

  This past weekend I traveled to the Little Rock area and finally got to meet one of my brides, Madelyn.  The weather was just awful in the morning, but then the clouds parted and the sun came out to play.  We had a great time running around on her property.  Here's a few of my favorites.

  Madelyn, I can't wait to meet Brad and photograph you on your BIG day!!!! Evie :)

I LOVE this shot!  Madelyn's Mom, Grandma and Step Mom were helping her get on.

Gotta love a bride that wears boots with her wedding dress!  Did I mention she has a pet deer and raccoon?!

Madelyn's horse, Sugar.

I saw this horseshoe print and all I could think of was good luck, so of course I had to put Madelyn and Brad's initial by it:)
