Christian Cusser

Hope you guys had a great weekend!  I know I did, even though it rained for most of it.  Brian, my amazing hubby, made me a headboard:)  I grabbed my camera and took a few shots to share.  I did get to help build it.  At the end, I was holding it up while Brian was gathering the fabric and hammering/stapling.  I was getting bored so of course my mind wonders into photographyland and I move my hands!!!!!!  Note to self, DO NOT daydream while someone close by is hammering!!!!  So, of course because I'm amazingly cool, I move my hand right to where Brian is now hammering at this point.  He hammers my finger and I yell.  Very quickly I rush into the house and become very close to becoming a Christian cusser:)  I felt pretty lame because I could not stop the tears from coming out.  Brian followed me inside to check on me and we both end up laughing.  What was I thinking?!  So, I put on some sunglasses to hide my now splochy face, and help wrap things up.  So, I'm typing this post with one very swollen and bruised finger.  I know, I'm pretty amazing;)
So, hope you love it as much as I do.  The pictures don't do it justice.  I didn't have my good lens on, so you can't see the details very good.  Lame again I know.  I didn't have time to change the lens.  So, here's what a ton of staples, 60 bucks, 7 layers of batting, 6 buttons, 5 2X4's, 4 hours of labor, 1 piece of plywood, and 1 black full flat sheet will get you.  Oh yeah, plus one swollen lame finger;)  Have a good day guys!!!  Evie

                                                            The frame for it....

Hammering the plywood....
I promised him I wouldn't show his face...lol...sorry babe, that's what you get for hammering my finger!;)  Here's what 7 layers of batting look like...b/c I know you were wondering.
Headboard without a gazillion pillows in front of it....

Headboard complete:) And what's cool is it's going to be super eaasy to change the fabric/color and buttons when I want.  Extra bonus!:)
